FN 509 compact is based on the tested architecture of the FNSTM Compact; to fulfill the strict performance requirements of the MHS specifications, FN implemented internal and exterior improvements. With assistance from industry professionals, the platform was further developed to become the FN 509. The platform has undergone more than a million rounds of testing during development in order to ensure its dependability, compatibility with ammunition, and durability.
